Uduehi Imienwanrin
Pitbull, 2020

Linocut, 50 x 39 cm

Uduehi Imienwanrin balances his love of pop culture icons and the natural world to create a wide variety of drawings and paintings. Recently, Uduehi has been able to develop a new avenue of his practice with the acquisition of the printing press for the Intoart studio last year. Printmaking has added a new dimension to Uduehi’s work resulting in his prints being exhibited at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2019.

This year Uduehi has been working on a new series of animal prints. Using paintings of wildlife from throughout art history as his inspiration, he begins by creating a wealth of pencil studies and then using these to inform his Lino-cuts and paintings. In these prints Uduehi has been experimenting with mono print techniques to create a unique series of one-off images.

Uduehi has been a member of Intoart since 2016.
